Since 2011, the NMEDA Hall of Fame has recognized the people whose vision and persistence built the adaptive mobility equipment industry, and expanded independence for people with disabilities across the US and Canada. Induction is NMEDA's highest honor.

2026 NMEDA Hall of fame inductee
Brendan Healy
Q'STRAINT
Across nearly four decades with Crow River, RICON and Q'Straint, Brendan Healy helped build the mobility dealer network that reaches from Eastern Canada to the Mississippi. He served two terms on the NMEDA Board of Directors as the elected voice of Associate Members and led the Marketing Committee through some of the association's formative years. His service continues today on the board of the FR Mobility Foundation, helping people afford the equipment that changes their lives. He is inducted for a career spent building the relationships and infrastructure this industry still runs on.

Greg Kiser
BraunAbility
Over more than two decades at BraunAbility, Greg Kiser built the structures that gave the dealer network its stability. His work designing dealer agreements and Primary Market Areas protected dealer investments and raised the standard of service customers could expect anywhere in the country. He carried that same commitment into NMEDA committee service and the board of the Ralph Braun Foundation. He is inducted for a career that strengthened the industry's foundation and for the integrity that defined every dealing he had within it.

Paul Erway (In Memoriam)
Superior Van & Mobility
Paul Erway entered the wheelchair accessible vehicle industry in the early 1980s and spent the next four decades widening the door behind him. A world-class wheelchair racer who completed 50 marathons in 50 states, he brought that same relentlessness to educating occupational therapists, nurses and case managers about what adaptive driving makes possible. He received the NMEDA Star Award in 2018 and served on the Hall of Fame Committee. He is inducted for a lifetime of advocacy that brought new people into this industry and new understanding to those outside it.

Darrell Heath (In Memoriam)
Ability Center
Darrell Heath was converting vans for wheelchair users in 1978, at the very beginning of the mobility van movement. He opened the first Ability Center in 1994 and grew it to 16 locations across five states, serving tens of thousands of people with disabilities before joining BraunAbility in 2018 as Chairman of Ability Center's board. Long before he owned a business, he was repairing wheelchairs for friends and neighbors simply because they needed the help. He is inducted for a life's work built on that instinct and for a standard of care his employees and customers still measure by.Brief bio placeholder, a sentence or two about this individual's contributions to adaptive mobility and the NMEDA community.

Marilyn Myers
National Mobility Equipment Dealers Association (NMEDA)
For nearly two decades, Marilyn Myers has been the steady hand behind NMEDA's work. Since the mid-2000s she has supported virtually every part of the association's governance, from the Board of Directors and Executive Board to QAP, Government Relations, Conference, Bylaws and NMEDA Canada, holding the details together so the industry's most important decisions could be made well. Hers is the kind of service that rarely draws attention and that everything else depends on. She is inducted in recognition of a career of quiet dedication that has shaped NMEDA more deeply than most will ever know.

Michael Dresdner
Handicapped Driver Services
Michael Dresdner purchased Handicapped Driver Services in 1989 and grew a four-bay shop into the largest dealer network in the Southeast. He gave NMEDA nearly a decade of committee service across Veterans Affairs and Government Relations, advocating for the veterans who depend on this industry. Known industry-wide as a champion of quality, safety and education, he consistently used his influence for the good of the whole field rather than his own company. He is inducted for that leadership and received the NMEDA Star Award in 2020.
