Hotel Scam

SHORT VERSION: NMEDA has contracted a room block with the Hilton only. NMEDA has NO affiliation with any other organizations and in no way endorses their services. Under no circumstances do we provide attendee or member information to any third party companies. These companies harvest this information on their own and then use it to perpetrate scams. Don’t fall for it.

LONG VERSION: It has come to our attention that several companies inaccurately representing themselves as our “housing vendor” are contacting individuals in the community, soliciting business. Specifically, they will offer to make hotel reservations within the NMEDA block on your behalf, or even offer you a discount from the NMEDA rate.

If you are contacted by a hotel pirating company or any housing group, recognize that they are not endorsed by NMEDA, and, despite their claims, they do not have access to our negotiated discounted rates. NMEDA does not initiate calls to sell sleeping rooms and under no circumstances is a full non-refundable payment at time of reservation required.

If you provide your credit card information to any of these unauthorized vendors, your card may be charged, but you may not have a reservation when you arrive in Daytona Beach. This is a scam. Reservations for the NMEDA Annual Conference & Expo should be made directly with Hilton Daytona Beach, either by phone or via our web reservation system.
